We were totally misled by the number of separate bedrooms

+ The view was nice, and the living room (or third bedroom, or whatever it was) was spacious if considered a living room. If the two beds in it are meant to constitute a separate bedroom, however, the actual living room is small. The location was excellent: close to the city centre but still quiet. The washing machine, air conditioning and large fridge were also useful amenities.

− I feel that I was seriously misled, as the accommodation did not match what was advertised or what I had reasonably expected when making the booking. The apartment has two bedrooms and a living room containing two beds, whereas I booked it expecting three separate bedrooms PLUS a living room. Although there were technically enough beds for our group, travelling with three small children made the lack of a third separate bedroom a significant inconvenience and discomfort. My expectation of three bedrooms was supported by (attached): - Booking.com listing title: “Three-bedroom Suite.” - Apartment specifications explicitly stated 3 bedrooms PLUS a living room with 2 sofa beds. - The detailed description also stated 1 living room PLUS 3 SEPARATE bedrooms. - I have written communication with the host through Booking.com, from several months before our stay, confirming that the apartment would meet our requirement for three bedrooms. The host argued that I should have understood from the photos that the apartment only had two bedrooms. I do not believe it is reasonable to expect paying guests to determine from photographs whether two similar-looking rooms are actually the same room photographed from different angles, especially when the written description and the host's messages explicitly stated the opposite. Despite this, a Booking.com customer service representative ruled against my complaint, and no compensation was offered. I paid full price. As this happened during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday period, I had no realistic alternative at a reasonable price. Had I known the actual layout earlier, I would have booked elsewhere. Cleanliness: A dirty towel was left on a kitchen chair upon arrival. The following day, the cleaning staff threw away one of our white hotel slippers but failed to take out the rubbish. No TV - despite the description Faulty microwave: It produced visible electrical sparks when switched on, even when empty. Insufficient kitchenware.

+ Location, apartment size is good, easy to access. (easier with WeChat). Should remember - this is an apartment service. I see guests asking security staff to help get a taxi, and help with tasks etc - but, this is not a hotel :) Download Alipay (DIDI included) and WeChat - and China is easy to navigate.

Nice stay, great location

+ The location is pretty good considering how big Beijing is. I'ts easy to get a taxi, and there are plentiful. It's also within walking distance to plenty of restaurants/shops, and a shopping mall. Also, being in front of the Galaxy Soho was quite scenic. The room was comfortable and big enough for the trip. I did have a good sleep and water/toiletries were available. Cleaning was done every 2 days. AC worked well, as was needed, especially being on the 14th floor. The apartment does have everything you need. It's located within a tower with a reception - they are quite helpful even if they dont speak your language (they use a translator). I would recommend it, primarily for the location.

− The apartments we stayed in didn't match the images. Our apartments were a bit dated. In one of them, the shower door must've had gaps, because water leaked everywhere while we were showering. We struggled to get the TVs to work properly; at times, they didn't really work. Other than that, everything was fine. The price was reasonable, so we accepted these minor defects. I wouldn't let this turn you away from choosing this place. The location is good,od and it was still comfortable to sleep here.

Fantastic

+ We had a wonderful stay at New Jinshan Apartment. The location in Chaoyang is fantastic—very safe, right next to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and incredibly convenient for taking the metro or calling a Didi. The room was clean, spacious, and very well-equipped. Having a private kitchenette with a microwave and fridge, along with an in-room washing machine, made our trip so much easier. The city view from the room was a great bonus! The 24-hour front desk staff were helpful and made the process smooth.

I would stay here again

+ It was well maintained amenities where great Staff was lovely and welcoming and always happy to help Luggage storage was quick and easy to sort out Location was fantastic with small shops nearby

Good apartment in a good location.

+ Great location - close to subway. A couple of food options close by and walking distance to Wangfujing.

− Beds were rather hard! No kitchen utensils but this may be a Chinese thing as we experienced this with all our stays in China.

Nice place, with some improvements

+ The room was nice and had enough space for 4 people. The bedroom was comfortable and the cleaning level was ok.

− The bathroom, is unacceptable, in 4 people, to be forced to throw the toilet paper in a trash can for a toilet problem.

Greatly recommended for families

+ Spacious apartment with neat facilities. Helpful management as the lady knows English and communication was easy right from the time of booking till arrival. Easily accessible to the center as well.
