Frustrating Arrival, poor signage. Otherwise pleasant stay.

+ Receptionists and bellboys were friendly. Breakfast was decent. Bed was comfortable.

− Our arrival experience was extremely frustrating. We spent almost 50 minutes driving around TRX trying to locate the hotel lobby entrance. Waze repeatedly led us either to the loading bay or to a dead end near the TRX Mall car park. We tried asking the security guards at the TRX car park entrance, but unfortunately they were unable to give us clear directions either. Eventually, we only managed to find the hotel after asking a police officer who happened to be stationed near a junction leading to the ramp up to the hotel. The biggest issue was the poor and inconsistent signage. We saw a “Kimpton Hotel” sign at one point, but on the subsequent signs, the hotel name simply disappeared, leaving us unsure where to go. It was incredibly confusing, especially considering that I am a local and generally familiar with the TRX area. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of assistance from the hotel itself. I called the hotel operator twice while we were driving around trying to find the entrance. The lady who answered was unfortunately not helpful and repeatedly told us to refer to Waze — despite me explaining that Waze was precisely what had led us to the wrong places. Clear directions from the hotel would have saved us a great deal of time and frustration. To add to the disappointing first impression, there was also visible, removable dirt in the toilet upon check-in, which should have been picked up during housekeeping inspection. For a hotel of this standard, the arrival experience should be seamless. Better signage, clearer directions and more helpful assistance from the hotel operator would make a significant difference.

+ Excellent location with direct access to TRX Mall and convenient access to shopping and dining. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, making the stay very enjoyable.

− The hotel does not have a spa facility, which would have been a great addition to complement the excellent gym, pool, and jacuzzi amenities.
