Good boutique hotel

+ Friendly and helpful staff. Location is good.

− Would be nice if more rooms had windows.

This would be a fine hotel for a short stay if you don’t mind noise and very minimal facilities.

− I’m not sure if my sheets were ever changed over my 21-day stay. Also, sometimes housekeeping was extremely minimal. The AC was also half-broken and difficult to manage. The worst part was the noise, which prevented me from sleeping most nights. I understand that’s in part out of control due to guests - but walls were incredibly thin and maybe quiet hours could be more strictly enforced.

+ I had a pleasant stay at HOTEL CALMO Hamilton during my visit to Singapore. The hotel is in a convenient location, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and nearby attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a great place to rest after a day of exploring the city. The staff were friendly, helpful , and accommodating throughout my stay. I also appreciated the smooth check-in and check-out process. Overall, it offers good value for money and is a great choice for travelers looking for a comfortable stay in Singapore. I would gladly stay here again in the future. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5

Moldy AC smell in a room without windows

+ A quite charming building, Singapore style!

− The room did not have a window (fair for the price), but what was absolutely not acceptable is the way the AC smelled like mold. It only got worse with time, as we let it run, and in the end we just had to spend the night like that. Absolutely not recommended, as it is a health hazard.

Most rooms, especially the deluxe single-rooms, have no windows !

+ After I complained again on the second day about the windowless room and the terrible internet connection, Jay (a very nice and helpful person!) gave me a different room, which was excellent! Hotel is very centrally located in the Lavender Quarter. Excellent coffeshops beside the hotel !

− The room I originally booked did not match the description. I know that many hotels in Singapore don’t have windows in their rooms, but this was clearly NOT mentioned in the description of the Deluxe Single Room, nor in the general hotel description (otherwise I wouldn’t have booked it). The internet connection was extremely poor and was sometimes unavailable for 2–3 hours, except at the front desk. Also after a room-change, the internet connection didn't improve, seems to be a general problem.
