Great Service and Location for Concerts, but Expect Tiny Rooms
+ Hotel 81 Orchid is an okay choice for the price, especially given how expensive accommodation in Singapore can be. We originally chose it because of how close it is to the National Stadium for a concert, and the location did not disappoint. It is in a great neighborhood with easy access to the MRT, and there are really good food joints all around the area. The standout part of our stay was the staff. You can't expect a lot of luxury from a budget hotel, but they truly try their best to accommodate you. The hotel manager was incredibly helpful; he let us store our luggage in the morning and managed to get us checked into our room two hours early without any additional fees, which we appreciated a lot. If you just need a clean, well-located place to sleep after an event and don't mind tight spaces, it definitely does the job.
− You should know what you are getting into with the rooms, though. Our room was extremely small and a bit claustrophobic since it had no windows. With two beds in the room, we had trouble finding enough floor space just to open our suitcases. That said, the essentials were well taken care of—both the sheets and the washroom were very clean.

Pleasant and comfortable stay.
+ Size of the room was small - but that was expected with the budget price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location with walking distance to restaurants and mini supermarkets.
