A hidden oasis in a fantastic location
+ A calm oasis in the middle of bustling Beijing, with lovely nearby streets to shop and eat. The courtyard was lovely, with sweet cats to pat too! The staff went above and beyond - I had issues with my flights and the staff let me use their phone for over an hour as I tried to sort them out. (Thank you so much!!) The room was super comfortable, we made good use of the spa after hours of walking each day. Easy walk to the Forbidden City and Wangfujing shopping street. We also did a day trip to Mutianyu Great Wall and arranging pick up fromthe hotel was easy. Didi access also easy. Highly recommend this lovely hotel, a hidden gem!

Highly recommend to stay here with family and friends.
+ The location of the hotel is in the center of the city, close to all tourist sightseeing locations, surrounded by food vendors, but very quiet and peaceful inside a hutong. Breakfast provided by the hotel is delicious and staff are very attentive, nice and professional. (In addition, there are 2 super cute and friendly cats who greet the guests)

Would definitely stay here again!
+ Loved our stay at Dassein. The hotel is beautiful and the location couldn't be more convenient, with a great coffee shop and cocktail bar right around the corner. The staff were genuinely friendly, and we got little gifts both when we arrived and when we left, which was such a sweet touch. You can also borrow Hanfu for free, which was a lot of fun.
− The only thing I'd improve is breakfast. It's fairly basic, so more choice would make a big difference: eggs cooked to order, a wider range of fruit, and better coffee. Right now there's only an office-style machine that does plain black coffee, while the really good coffee at reception is only available once breakfast is over. Small thing, but it would make mornings even better.

It’s okay, pricey but quiet but a new build not an old restored hutong
+ Location is good for the major sites, shops and restaurants
− Room cleaning is haphazard (some bits done, but never properly cleaned during the six night stay). The breakfast was quite random and things not eaten one day were there the next day. Coffee machine was burning and spluttering.

Hutong Stay with easy access to main sites in Beijing
+ A great courtyard hotel in the hutong area, close to the subway and lots of great restaurants and coffee shops. The staff were really welcoming and breakfast had a good variety!
