:) I love Singapure
+ Singapore — the whole world knows this city as an incredible economic miracle, a place of strict laws, a melting pot of cultures, and one of the most expensive cities on Earth. While booking my hotel (my round-the-world trip continues!), I completely missed the fact that the Formula 1 Grand Prix was happening at the same time. This is clearly why hotel prices were sky-high. At the reception, I was welcomed by the sweetest people: a lovely elderly lady, a gentleman, and an absolutely charming young woman. We had a bit of a misunderstanding at first — my English failed me a little, and the front desk couldn't immediately see that my payment had already been processed through Booking. I assume it was just a technical glitch between the hotel and the platform. However, the sweet girl at the desk saved the day. Seeing that I couldn't call Booking myself, she contacted them on her own and resolved all the issues. It has been a very long time since I’ve experienced such genuine warmth and care! As for the room: initially, I was placed on the second floor, but I couldn't stay there because it was too noisy — it turned out to be the main hub for the lovely housekeeping ladies. After a grueling 20-hour flight and the stressful situation at check-in, where I almost ended up stranded without any money on my card for Singapore, they kindly upgraded me. They gave me a room on the third floor with a panoramic window and a street view. I always say that an older hotel instantly feels charming and vintage when it is kept perfectly clean. A deep bow to everyone responsible for the housekeeping! It was incredibly spotless. Thank you so much for making me feel at home. Hugs and kisses, and I truly hope to come back! Pros: The hotel is located right next to the Lavender MRT station. This line is super convenient as it goes directly to both the airport and the city center.
