China National Convention Center Grand Hotel is located a 3-minute walk from Olympic Metro Station (Line 8 & 15). It features a fitness center and spa. All rooms and suites come with free wired internet. Water Cube, Beijing National Aquatics Center lays only 8 minutes' drive away while Bird Nest, National Stadium is 15 minutes' taxi ride away. China National Convention Grand Hotel is a 35-minute drive from Tian'anmen Square and Beijing Railway Station. Beijing Capital Airport is about 30 minutes's car journey away. Branded mattress and a wide selection of pillows are featured. Spacious, carpeted rooms are fitted with a flat-screen satellite TV, mini-bar and personal safe. White, beige colors and warm lighting are used to create comforting atmosphere. All rooms are soundproofed. An electric kettle is provided. Guests can relax with a massage or head for a sauna session to unwind. Ticketing and currency exchange services are available at the tour desk. The hotel has a business center and 24-hour front desk. A variety of light bites are served in the coffee shop, while the lobby bar serves drinks. Room service is available. Guests are required to show a valid government-issued ID card or passport upon check-in. For guests who book rooms with breakfast, the meal will be served based on the number of check-in guests. Quite comfortable
+ The location is by the Biejing Olympic stadium so touristic with shopping malls, museums, etc nearby. The breakfast is also quite rich with many options.
− The buffet dinner closes early, by 9pm. The internet is censored so many apps don't work and it is also relatively slow.

Perfectly fine if you’re at the conference
+ It’s an old style ‘grand’ hotel and I only chose it because of its proximity to the conference centre but the rooms are large, beds comfortable and the cleaning staff very friendly ;-)
− The hotel feels a bit tired; this is surprising given it serves a major conference venue in Beijing. Even more surprising is that most staff doesn’t speak any English which is in contrast to most other places I’ve stayed in in China. I would have expected it different give the conferencing facilities

Overall, great place to stay especially if one wants to be near the Olympic Park area.
+ Room is great and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Location very near Olympic Park metro station.
− Breakfast menu didn't change much during out 1 week stay. Adjacent rooms didn't have connecting doors in between.

very decent hotel in a beautiful area
+ location, spacious room, the pool was great, air temperature control in the room was very good, early check-in at 7 AM at a half rate was a good solution for me.
− wifi was unstable, soundproofing of the rooms was mediocre to poor

Nice for a stay if you need to be at the CNCC.
+ Room very spacious, good Airco, restaurants were good, location (indoor to the CNCC!)
− Wifi, was free, but very poor quality regularly off and on and off etc. I expected on site massage, that was not available. Website says it is.

Good location and a comfortable stay, but the payment and deposit issues need to be improved.
+ The location was very convenient, especially for attending the exhibition. The hotel was clean and the staff were generally helpful.
− I had two issues during my stay. First, the hotel charged my bank card for one night without my prior approval, even though I had not arrived in China yet. Second, I was asked to pay a security deposit at check-in and was told it would be refunded at check-out. I checked out yesterday, but I have not received the security deposit or the first payment back yet.

+ Friendly staff, spacious room. Electric outlets compatible with European and US plugs. Very convenient buffet restaurant. Underground walkway to the convention center.
− Connecting to the Internet using the hotel WiFi for a foreigner is complicated. However, this is due to regulation, not the hotel's fault.
