Great if you want to get in contact with other travellers and save money!
+ Great for socializing, very nice staff, small rooms but cheap. The roof top terrace is awesome, and they even have a laundry machine free to use.
− It wasn’t absolutely clean in the rooms, and in the single room I had less space than in the shared double room, no space to put stuff.

+ Easy yo find - again ignore the booking.com location drop its off by a couple of streets.
− There is street noise - which means great location but you may want ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper

+ The people working in reception were super helpful and had a great dumpling making session on Friday night for free. The other people in the hostel were amazing, we all had a great time socially, drinking beers on the terrace and chatting all night. Everyone so welcoming and friendly, giving tips where possible. Lots of English speakers from across the globe

− I was on the 2nd floor and had to go to the 3rd floor for the bathroom. Should have a bathroom available on each floor.

Xingshe Hostel was a perfect stay for my week in Beijing, it was comfortable, clean and in a great area for easy access
+ Super easy to access the train station, great location for good food and the staff were lovely and helpful. Big thanks to LiuFan for all his assistance during my stay! The facilities were clean and I received a fresh towel each day.

Exceptional value for money, great location, great atmosphere
+ The location is amazing, just around the corner from the metro station. Staff is really friendly and answers all the questions. Rooms are big enough, and the lockers are in the room. I liked that they have a key and you don't need your own padlock. The bathrooms are clean and you get a fresh towel every day. Every Friday there is also dumpling night on the terrace, which definitely shouldn't be missed. I recommend it, truly a great hostel!

− No power in room without keycard in slot, so leaving phone for charging during shower was impossible.
