+ The garden was magical. Food was really good. Staff amazing and very kind. It felt like paradise

It's truly a pleasure staying in the guesthouse.

+ The guesthouse is run by a small family, and the place is clean, neat, and cosy — perfect for a solo traveller or a couple. There’s hot water for showers, a water kettle, and hangers for your clothes. There’s also a restaurant within the vicinity, and the overall cost is very reasonable. The temperature is different between the day and night, to dress comfortably. They also helped arrange a scooter rental for me, which made getting around so much easier and more convenient.

− The Wi-Fi can be a little unstable at night, and the location is quite hidden. I arrived at Besakih after dark, and the driver had quite a hard time finding the way. That said, the receptionist was truly an angel. She answered my call and patiently guided the driver using the router to help us reach the guesthouse. Really appreciated her kindness and assistance, especially arriving so late at night. One thing to note is that there is no safety deposit box and hair dryer available.

A hidden gem

+ We loved our stay at the Hidden Valley. It is such a beautiful, peaceful, and warm place, full of flowers and with a breathtaking view over the valley. The staff is absolutely adorable, very welcoming and warm. The restaurant is very good and offers a good variety of options. The location is good, just a 5 minute drive to Pura Besakih.

− We travelled by car and had a bit of a hard time locating the place, as google maps/waze do not identify the exact location and the road signal is a bit faded.

+ The staff were great, the gardens beautiful, the rooms were comfortable at an affordable price.

− The only thing to improve would be maybe to hire an extra staff member and open the restraunt for lunch also.

Would totally stay there again if wanting to have a relaxing stay and go to Besakih Temple. One of the most comfortable

− A bit in the middle of nowhere, not much around other than the temple nearby. They seemed to be having issues with the pool as it wouldn’t fully fill up. Some broken tiles in the pool which cut our daughter’s foot but the staff were so nice about it all that it made it ok!

Beautiful Hotel

+ Beautiful place, incredible views of the valley and the volcano. Beautiful pool (a bit cold) and good restaurant. The breakfast is nice too. Very cheap and quick laundry service (2000 IDR per piece). Good AC. The Garden ist beautiful and the surroundings are clean. They have a nice dog that will bark at you on the first day but once he knows you he's lovely 😍.

− The bathroom is not very nice, pretty dark and looks dirty. This could be changed with a few additional lights and a different warmth of the light, not this terrible cold white neon light. Same for the room. There's only warm water for about two minutes of showering. Then it takes two hours to reheat. There's a sign that says it is to save water. But if there's one thing that Bali has more than enough, then it is water. They regularly run out of fruit. That shouldn't happen especially with so many people working there and fruit being available for purchase everywhere. One thing that has nothing to do with the hotel: The temple of Besakih is a terrible tourist trap, very commercial and has completely lost any spirituality it once had. All they want is your money.
