The hotel is comfortable, conveniently located and staff is friendly and helpful.
+ The room was set up with rose petals with a complimentary dessert for our honeymoon. The room was cleaned perfectly every morning while we were out for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of variety to choose from. The staff all around the hotel and buffet were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated right opposite the metro and the tunnel to walk to Dubai Mall which was very convenient.
− The breakfast buffet was mostly the same every morning so it would be nice if they changed up some of the sections a bit each morning.

A pleasant stay at Sofitel Downtown Dubai
+ The service and the staff who are all polite and courteous. The room is very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. We loved the restaurant Swiss Butter. Service and food were equally good.
− A small drawback that I had observed is the ladies' change room in the swimming pool..Majority of the showers did not work. There was a musty smell as if the change room had not been used for a while. I think this must be attended right away to prepare for the high season of tourists.

Great location for mall.
+ Close to Dubai mall. Vicki at breakfast was welcome and friendly. Concierge desk helpful when I needed medical assistance.
− Room service was called 3 times to bring milk. One day our room wasn’t cleaned at all.

+ Very nice, clean, and comfortable hotel. Location is great - besides metro station, within walking distance from Dubai Mall and downtown. Very helpful staff. Great views from high floors.
− WiFi was not very reliable in the room - weak signal and occasional connectivity losses.

+ Overall it was a really good experience. The staff was really nice, especially the staff at the check-in and check-out were great. The room was very clean and even the bathrooms were properly maintained.
− The lobby restrooms need serious revamp. They need to be cleaned properly. The restroom for men is not in the best possible condition and should be renovated.

+ Everything was excellent overall. The room was clean, the hotel was nice, and the location was great. However, there was one issue. When I called the hotel before my stay, I was told that there was an EV charger for car available for guests. I specifically chose the hotel based on this information. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was told that the charger was not working. I was coming all the way from Abu Dhabi, so this was quite inconvenient and disappointing. I just wish I had been informed about it before arriving. Apart from that, everything else was great and I enjoyed my stay.
