Bien para un día

+ La villa es preciosa, en medio de la naturaleza. Contratamos el servicio de sisha y super bien. Y también la sesión de fotos con el fotógrafo y la decoración de la bañera y el área de la ducha. Quedó precioso. El driver Agun muy bien, súper amable y en todo momento entendió que nos quisiéramos ir de ese lugar llamado Batur Hot Spring. La comida, la pizza margarita, las costillas y el pollo source and cream riquísimo. También tienen champú, gel y acondicionador y secador y plancha. Eso súper bien. Te responden con rapidez por wasap cuando ya tienes el número directo que te dan cuando llegas y haces el check in.

− Tenían que recogernos en Ubud y el día antes desde las 16:00h nadie contestaba. Finalmente me contestan el mismo día que nos tienen que recoger, después de 3 llamadas entre las 16 del día anterior y las 8:45 de ese día, escribir por wasap, por Booking… y encima mandan a dos drivers (porque no hay comunicación entre ellos). El servicio, la atención mala. No hablo de nadie en particular, simplemente la persona que te habla por wasap. Contratamos una excursión que parece estupenda en su catálogo, y el mismo día me escriben por wasap Para ver si queremos hacer alguna actividad (no hay comunicación entre ellos). La excursión es a un sitio tan sucio, que puedes cogerte una infección al llegar solo de estar ahí. No sé como una villa de este nivel se permite el lujo de hacer esa recomendación. Contratamos el transporte para Seminyak desde el inicio y me confirman precios por wasap y por Booking y después quieren cobrarme 100.000 rupias más porque dicen que los precios no están actualizados (en la habitación hay un catálogo con los precios en los cuales está el precio que me habían confirmado). Te dicen que en taxes y services (que no están incluidos en los precios que te dan y no te avisan), es un 21%, pero si tú lo calculas es mucho más, el precio que te pone el recibo pone que es un 21% pero es más que eso. Y encima cuando preguntas poco más que eres una tacaña y que ellos están ahí haciendo su trabajo y que eso es lo que dice el sistema. Luego, contratamos una villa con dos habitaciones (había 4 toallas, pues el segundo día me quitaron 2). Lo mismo con los albornoces, había 4 y me quitaron 3. Alguien sabe por qué? Luego, las toallas sucias, amarillas. El desayuno, los panes duros. Si no tienes moto no puedes hacer nada. Recomendada para un solo día y una noche para estar tirada en la villa de relax. Como recomendación, estaría bien que hubiera alguna hamaca porque si estás en la piscina no tienes donde ponerte a coger sol salvo que te tires en el césped.

+ Es un lugar perfecto para descansar; las villas están construidas con un gusto exquisito. Puedes pedir la comida en la habitación para no tener que salir si no te apetece. Y lo cierto es que todo en ella hace que no quieras irte nunca!! Es precioso!

Magic Hills is a spectacular place for photos, but it also feels like part of an Instagram theme park

+ When we arrived at Magic Hills, we were honestly blown away. The villa is incredibly beautiful, every detail seems carefully thought through, and everything is amazingly photogenic. Almost everywhere you look, there is another perfect setting for an Instagram picture.

− After four nights, however, our impression had changed. We increasingly felt that we were staying in a beautifully staged setting rather than in a place designed to actually live and relax in. Apart from the bed, we hardly found anywhere that really invited us to sit, lounge and spend time comfortably. At some point we even discovered artificial roses in the wardrobe and honestly wondered what they were doing there – probably waiting for the next perfect photo. The staff we met in person were consistently friendly, attentive and helpful. The guys who brought the food to our villa were especially lovely. What we found a bit “too much”, however, was the constant service contact via WhatsApp. There were so many messages, questions and offers. It also gave us the impression that the communication was not only about helping guests, but often about encouraging additional purchases and selling more services. We also found the pricing difficult to understand for Bali. A walk of just over an hour through the rice fields directly surrounding the property cost 300,000 IDR per person, plus 10% tax and an 11% service charge. For four people, this came to more than 1.4 million IDR – over €70 for a short walk through the local rice fields. We booked our rafting trip directly with the operator instead and paid less than half the price. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment for us was the restaurant. Being able to eat directly in your villa with that wonderful view should be one of the highlights of staying here. The menu is predominantly Western, and the food is nicely presented, but for us much of it lacked flavour and some portions were surprisingly small. Even simple things became unnecessarily complicated. We had a lengthy WhatsApp discussion about the size of the teapots. One day it was possible to get a larger pot, while the next day we were told that for two people only small teapots were available.

Fabulous way to start our holiday and throughly enjoyed this little piece of magic.

+ Logement incroyable que je recommande. Tout était parfait. La cuisine était délicieuse. Le personnel tres serviable. La salle de bain en plein air au milieu de la nature était un moment de pur bonheur !

Bamboo house in the jungle!

+ De magie in de jungle! Prachtige bamboo huizen. Als je deze experience wil is het een 10! Echt erg mooi gedaan.

− Je moet ervan houden dat alles open is en dat het veel regent. Ligt afgelegen. Het eten en service is ok. Personeel spreekt weinig engels. De manager wel, waarmee je contact hebt via W’app. Het is echt jungle met alles wat daarbij hoort. Een echte ervaring dus ;). Het beviel ons zeker maar het was ook uitdagend. 2 nachten was voor ons echt genoeg.
