Kelly's Courtyard is a magically beautiful, comfortable place to stay in the center of Beijing!
+ Kelly's Courtyard Hotel is a wonderful, safe, exquisitely located, and quirky place to stay in that it is an old, beautiful home in an historic hutong. Returning to this place in the evening was like stepping back into a comfortable, beautiful oasis. The staff was kind and welcoming, and had fantastic local suggestions for restaurants. They even helped us procure tickets. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again... wonderful choice!
− Basically, everything was fine, even the somewhat small shower. Finding the place is a bit tricky the first time, but the hotel did indeed share detailed and helpful directions. I have no complaints.

+ Kelly's is a centrally located and traditional type of hotel hutong. The staff is helpful and very friendly, and goes out of its way to offer excellent service. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the underground is a 5-10 minute walk away.
− The shower and the toilet are not separated.

A stay with character and history
+ From the very first contact, Mark was very friendly and helpful. He even helped me order some hiking poles and have them delivered to the hotel. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. We really liked that the Hutong aspects have been kept even in the decor. The courtyard space is well appointed and comfortable for visiting.
− The beds were a bit hard, but otherwise everything was great.

+ A truly unique place with a fantastic atmosphere. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants nearby and all the main attractions within easy reach. The best part, however, is Mark. He speaks English very well, is incredibly helpful, and genuinely cares about his guests. You can buy sightseeing tickets through him, he can arrange a private tour to the Great Wall, and also organize airport transportation. I highly recommend this place. If you're visiting Beijing, this is definitely where you should stay.
− The only downside is that the room walls are quite thin, and the glass doors are covered only by curtains. Some guests may find the lack of privacy a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast is rather simple and repetitive, but it's perfectly fine for a stay of 2–3 days.

+ Great communication, gave loads of recommendations, we went to the Roast Duck restaurant, wow!! Amazing Rooms were great Location between 2 stations. You need to walk from a taxi to the hotel with any luggage as it's on a footpath but it's not far and totally worth it
− Nothing, was all great. Breakfast was a bit basic but everything else made up for it

A very pleasant surprise wonderfully quiet and evocative.
+ Location was perfect for visiting the city, also a very picturesque quiet neighbourhood. The breakfast was more a continental than Chinese but more than adequate. The staff were adorable!!
− It's not something you can change but because the rooms give out on to a communal courtyard , it didn't feel that private.
