One of the Best Hotels in the Maldives!

+ The island was cosy, the ocean was fantastic, and the staff was amazing. We loved our vacation overall. Definitely the best hotel for the value & performance in the Maldives. They let us stay a couple of hours longer after checkout until our flight, which was an amazing gesture. We will definitely be back with the kids.

− The rooms have thin walls. I could hear the people in the rooms beside us very clearly in conversation. The water is charged at $ 3 per bottle, which is fine. Also, the ocean had many stones in it, which I believe can be cleaned.

+ My 10-Day Island Experience We travelled to Embudu Village in August and stayed for nine nights and ten days. August is known for rainy and windy weather, and we did experience some rain and storms during our stay. However, this did not stop us from having an amazing time. We were still able to swim, enjoy the ocean and make the most of our holiday. Overall, I would highly recommend this place, especially if you are looking for peace, nature and a real escape from technology and busy life. Accommodation We initially booked a beach bungalow for our first night. It was lovely, but honestly, it was not quite what I expected. I imagined the bungalow would be directly beside the beach, but it was somewhat hidden among the trees, and the beach in front of it was not as nice as I had hoped. We then decided to move to a water villa, and this was one of the best decisions we made. The water villa was absolutely beautiful, with an amazing view directly into the sea. You could see fish and coral from the villa without even needing to snorkel. We regularly saw different types of fish, coral and even small sharks in the water. Another thing I really appreciated was the hospitality. We stayed for nine nights and ten days, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. They were also very accommodating with early check-in and late check-out, which made our stay much easier and more enjoyable. Food We booked half board, so breakfast and dinner were included, and the food was excellent. As a Muslim traveller, I was very happy that everything was halal. There was a great variety of food, including vegetarian options, desserts and plenty of choices for different preferences. I genuinely found the food to be one of the highlights of our stay. Activities Although the island is very peaceful and quiet, there are plenty of activities available if you want to keep yourself busy.

great for relaxing

+ Nice resort, very calm and relaxing, the possibility to snorkel on the reef at different places right from the resort was great. The staff is very nice and helpful. Communication is good, and they allowed us to stay in the bungalow late on the day of departure free of charge, which was nice. The bungalows are spacious, and the beds are good. The bathroom has everything necessary. There is a kettle in the room with some tea and coffee. The resort is on a private island and has a lot of different places to sit and relax. The restaurant offers various types of food every day during the week, which is nice: from European style to Asian. There is also a bar/coffee serving drinks and food all day. The diving center is helpful: it organized many excursions and diving opportunities.

− The doors in the bungalows do not close completely, so we needed to use a lot of air conditioning. Despite "the rainy season" there were no mosquitoes, so it was not a problem in that regard. There is only 1 bottle of water per day per person, which is not enough. No water with supper (we had half pension); had to buy. It would be nice to have another bar/coffee on the other side of the island, near the jetty/beach. Also, the shop is quite small.

+ The island has a great location close to Male. The staff is very helpful and nice. The house reef is amazing. We saw many colourful fishes, black tip reef sharks, eaglerays, moray eels, turtles and octopuses just a few meters from the shore.

− The mosquitos were annoying but they were doing mosquito spraying.

+ Very clean, spacious rooms and lots of activities to join, even if you don’t scuba dive. Wonderful plants all over the island and well curated. The house reef is one of the best you will find in Maldives and nature is all over you!

− It wasn’t clear to us that Full Board is not All Inclusive when we booked. Anyway we didn’t think that paying for the drinks separately was too expensive, overall prices made sense. People tend to get out early in the morning to put their towels on the beach chairs, and they also grab the deck chair cushions and take them to their rooms overnight to have them in the morning, which means that if you wake up later you might not find a deck chair where you want or have no cushion for it. This is not the property fault but rather people being people, however I think the property should maybe enforce some rules on the cushions or supply more.

A perfect island escape with stunning oceanfront bungalows, great food, and exceptionally kind staff.

+ We had an amazing stay at Embudu Village in the Maldives and can highly recommend it. The beach bungalow location was perfect—just a few steps away from the ocean, which made the whole experience feel incredibly special and relaxing. The natural, barefoot-friendly atmosphere was something we truly loved; it added to the authentic island vibe and made the stay even more comfortable. The food was consistently great, with plenty of variety and quality. What really stood out, though, was the staff—everyone was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely come back!

Didn’t want to leave

+ Triple WOW. We were not sure about booking a resort, but it was 100% worth it. We did excursions to a local island and another resort, and that only confirmed we made the best choice staying here. We had one night in a water villa — if you can afford it, just do it. This is what Maldives are about. Otherwise why fly 11 hours. You can see so much wildlife even without trying — fishes right from the pier (almost snorkelling without getting into water), flying fox, sand crabs everywhere and even a heron walking around. Best birthday of my life so far. Room was decorated on arrival, staff are so welcoming, and the island is beautiful and very relaxing.
