Would benefit from some smaller changes but this hotel was nowhere near as bad as previous reviews suggest & worth t
+ The staff were lovely and very playful with our toddler, the food was quite good despite previous poor reviews, it was just a little repetitive and often little choice (e.g they have pizzas but with only 1 topping that changes daily, some days the pizza flavour was not to our liking but there was no other choice, it would benefit from having a plain cheese pizza as well). The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily, shower pressure was good. The pool was a good size and was clean. The entertainment was better than expected most nights and through the days. The dancers and cirque de solil being the best. The location was excellent, a short and enjoyable walk to the old town.
− We enjoyed playing ping pong but the ball broke and we couldn’t get a new one. Some nights had no evening entertainment at all. The first room we had either had air con turned off or set to arctic temperatures - boiling without air con on, or freezing with it on, the second room we got was much better (we didn’t change rooms, we drove to cappadocia part way through our holiday and returned to this hotel after). We booked a taxi through the hotel to take us to the car rental place and the taxi cost was very expensive, 700 lira for an 8 minute drive, taxi drivers refused to use the meter as per Turkish law and instead, charges 3x as much, I’d have thought our hotel may negotiate these costs but it was actually cheaper to hail our own taxi. The beach is also much further than indicated, we actually used a different far closer beach section and just paid for drinks with free sunbeds, considering the hotel only did 2 x 30 minute rounds of drinks a day, serves no alcohol and has no bathroom facilities. A free shuttle service would improve this. Alcoholic drink choices are very limited even at the hotel, includes no cocktails but the beer was nice. Only 30 minutes per day to access ice cream. There is a hotel policy stating no sunbed reserving but they did nothing to police this and many guests reserved sunbeds yet did not use them all day.
