A superbly located hotel with exceptional food and wonderfully family-friendly staff, offering a real haven in the heart
+ Whilst it was pricier than alternatives, you could ask for much more from a hotel. Superb location, delicious food and the staff were exceptional, especially with our one year old. Really close to major old town attractions and also transport hubs to other areas of the city. It felt like a safe haven.
− We loved all things about the property, aside from how slippy the bathroom got when the marble was wet. With our one year old - we could really let him in unattended as he just fell over. The bathroom might find an anti-slip mat helpful. Also the baby cot was broken. This didn’t bother us, but it might others.

Very Good
+ The Sultanahmet Palace Hotel is ideally located close to the main tourist sites in Sultanahmet but still relatively quiet, especially at night. The view of the Blue Mosque was stunning. The breakfast was fantastic and we loved having fresh honeycomb, quite a novelty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little dated but still have loads of character as befits a hotel in this location.
− We found the nights quite cool even in August and found the sheet on the bed wasn't keeping us warm enough. We asked for a blanket but were only provided with another sheet. We made do but it wasn't ideal.

I'd stay again
+ Lovely polite staff, excellent location (practically next door to the Blue Mosque), really comfortable room and clean.
− The bathroom was Turkish style (where you throw water over yourself from a metal bowl rather than a shower) which took a bit of getting used to and it had a bit of a strange smell.

Perfect location
+ Perfect location to everything! Comfortable bed and room! Breakfast was very good. Barish was amazing in assisting us in getting a taxi to the cruise port and carrying our luggage outside the hotel. He was very attentive and helpful. We were going to take the tram to the port with our luggage and would have been difficult. Hotel was very clean and all the desk staff were helpful. Hotel is directly across the Blue Mosque.
