Improve is definitely required

+ Staff was kind

− Check in was 1pm on booking.com But hotel said 2pm and i was waiting for another an hour. At 2pm still my room wasnt prepared, so the staff gave me a bottle of water while i am waiting at the lobby. But then later he said he already gave me the water, he cannot provide it to my room. And my room was just next to lobby that there was too much noise from lobby. I couldnt have a deep sleep at all. And the location was not great.

− some rooms do not have shower cabins, and I think all rooms should be equipped with them. The reception staff could be more helpful and professional.

+ I had a wonderful stay. The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, while the amenities were better than expected. The atmosphere was peaceful and the accommodation was very comfortable. It was also a great choice in terms of price. I would love to stay here again in the future and recommend it to others.

Terrible experience from start to finish – worn out and unhygienic.

+ We booked the Royal Meridien for a short city break, expecting a comfortable stay based on the photos and ratings. Unfortunately, our experience was shockingly bad and completely ruined our first day. The problems started as soon as we walked into our first room. It was obviously not cleaned. The bed was unmade, there were used towels on the floor, and worst of all—a large, noticeable brown stain on the duvet. It was absolutely disgusting and we walked straight back out to the reception. The staff at the front desk were not surprised or very apologetic. They gave us a new key after some waiting. We hoped this would solve everything, but the second room, while smelling clean, was in a terrible state of disrepair. The furniture was all scratched and worn. But the final straw was the bed linen—the sheets had multiple small holes and pulls in them, like they were decades old and had never been replaced. It felt cheap and unsanitary to sleep in. For a hotel with this name and price, this is completely unacceptable. A basic requirement is a clean, intact bed. We got neither. We were too tired by this point to complain again and just wanted to sleep. No manager came to check on us, no apology was offered for the huge inconvenience, and certainly no gesture was made to make up for it. The good points? The location is fine. That’s literally the only positive thing I can say. The bottom line: This hotel is badly maintained and their housekeeping quality control has completely failed. They are not providing the basic service you pay for. I would not recommend it to anyone and we will certainly not be returning. A very, very disappointing stay.

If it wasn’t for the bathroom in my case, it would be great. The staff is very friendly

+ The hotel was very cozy. I really liked that. I also liked a private mini balcony adjacent to my room.

− However, the only individual problem that I faced was that the bathroom in my room was stinky.
