− ​I had a terrible stay at this property and cannot recommend it to anyone. ​The apartment was severely outdated and clearly hasn't seen any upkeep in years. Almost everything inside required major maintenance—from broken fixtures to worn-out furnishings. To make matters worse, the air conditioning unit was not working at all, making the apartment uncomfortably warm and virtually unbearable to stay in. ​Management needs to invest in serious renovations and basic upkeep before charging guests to stay here. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Views to die for.

+ This hard to score as the view and position were amazing, the staff were very good and tried hard to make our long stay pleasant. It was good to have cooking facilities as we could buy local food and cook meals. The balcony and rooftop had some of the best views in Istanbul.

− If you are fussy, this probably isn't for you, the bathroom smelt and hot water was intermittent. Wifi wasn't good as it kept dropping out, the pillows were disgusting and they were changed as I refused to use them and it wasn't as clean as we expected. Saying that, once we accepted that this was what we had for the next 15 days, we loved our time here. The hill to get to the apartment was a real workout.

Don't expect fancy, but fully functional, amazing views, central to where we wanted to be.

+ We booked this property because of location and view. The penthouse has 2 outdoor decks. The first you can view out the windows and there is an electric awning to shade the chairs. You have a view of Galata tower and across the Golden Horn even before opening the door thru the glass, as well as across the golden horn to Topkapi palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, etc. Once outside on the deck you can walk around to the back of the room and there is a stair that leads to the roof of the Penthouse with an even larger and more expansive deck! You can see even more churches and mosques. Very spectacular and a great value. The street is very steep and learning how to get around is essential. We used google map which would show us walking routes to Galata tower or Taksim square---tip for easier travel--we walked down the hill and to the main street toward the water and there is the T1 line Tophane. Get on and go to the end (2 stops and about 3 minutes) and at the end of that station is the funicular that goes underground up to Taksim square. It's all down hill walking down either Itstakal street, or weave to other locations. It was fun to weave back to the room as you go thru the area Cihanger with lots of little stores, shops, restaurants, and the prices are cheaper in that area.

− The place needs updating, but is such a good value. The street is very steep, but we knew that as we stayed just up the hill 2 years ago. About 5 minutes up the hill it becomes more restaurants and little stores like grocery and smaller. Good quaint area. The pictures of the Penthouse are confusing as they show the old setup and newer setup. You will note the sink area is on the far wall currently and the bed/couch are a little confused. The old picture setup seems like it would have been more comfortable. Overall this was a very good value. Elevator stops 1 floor below the penthouse and then stairwell up 1 flight for penthouse level--no big deal.

+ Very little. The location was acceptable, but unfortunately our overall experience was extremely disappointing.

− We were so disappointed with the condition of the property that we checked out and left on the second day of our stay, even though we had booked for 11 nights. Despite leaving almost immediately because of these serious issues, we still have not received our refund. This has made the whole experience even more frustrating and unacceptable. We also found insects inside the property, which made the cleanliness issue even more concerning and made us extremely uncomfortable staying there, especially with our family.

− Several electrical outlets were loose and coming out of the wall, which we considered a serious safety hazard, especially for families with children. The coffee maker also did not work. Combined with the poor cleanliness, lack of maintenance, and other problems, the property felt unsafe and completely different from what was advertised. We also found insects inside the property, which made the cleanliness issue even more concerning and made us extremely uncomfortable staying there, especially with our family.

− We booked a **Sea View Suite** through Booking.com, but unfortunately, we were given a different apartment instead. The apartment was in need of several repairs, and it was not properly cleaned. There were noticeable issues with maintenance, and it didn't meet the standard we expected, especially for the price we paid. We were disappointed that the apartment didn’t match the description, and it didn’t offer the experience we were hoping for.
