Quiet beach location

+ This is a comfortable hut with its own private space looking out over the sea. It has everything you need. It’s a short walk to the beach and there is a cafe and grocery store close by. A car is needed to get to restaurants and the owner gives helpful advice. The owner also organises boat trips from a nearby marina. We had a lovely morning snorkelling with turtles and then relaxing on a nearby beach. It isn’t far from Muscat so handy for the airport. It is a very quiet location ok for a couple of nights. Great correspondence from the owner.

− Unfortunately in Qantab is not much to do and no restaurants to go to. :(

+ Very friendly and welcoming host, we liked the chilled area outside of maskat! The hut has a lovely and warm design, the view from the terrace is lovely and we felt comfortable (stayed one night)

− The air con was uncontrollable at night and we couldn’t sleep very well. A few more options to hang stuff (wet towels) would be helpful and personally I prefer cotton blankets / pillows instead of the fluffy ones

+ If you’re looking for: - a beautiful room in a personal hut made of palm trees - a short 3 minute walk to a beach filled with local fisherman - waking up to beautiful sea views - a large terrace to sit and enjoy the sea views, stargaze, and relax - a very private and quiet stay in a guesthouse / room situated with a gated entrance at the rear of a main house, just minutes away from the chaos of Muscat or the big resorts in the nearby Bandar Jissah neighborhood. then Qantab Hut is just the stay that you’re looking for. Our host, Haroon, had great communication regarding the stay and nearby recommendations. He also helped us reserve a boat ride around the bay where you can see the sea meet the mountains and the natural arches (Bandar Al Jissah). It was spectacular and not to be missed.

− I would’ve have liked to see some hooks or towel rods in the bathroom. Also a hair dryer would be helpful.
