Had promise, but unfortunately they took advantage.

− Booked a "superior" room with two beds and a balcony. Instead, was shown to a tiny internal one-bed room. I spoke immediately to reception, they said the Booking.com request didn't show up on their system. When I showed them the significant price difference in booking rate they reluctantly offered to refund part - but claimed they couldn't put it back on the credit card I'd just paid with (or give cash) - instead saying they would pay by bank. I provided details, but they never refunded anything. I suspect I'm not the first or last with this place to get this experience.

Central location, room may not have windows

+ Central location between the old and new city with quick access to the city walls and parks. Staff resolved issues with rooms such as getting the air conditioning working and fixing a kettle that stopped working. Staff arranged for a transfer back to the airport, tea / coffee available in the hallway at all times. Rooms have fridges, wifi adequate, able to find at least one channel showing the world cup on the TV or watch it on a laptop, some rooms have balcony views into a public square.

− Booked room wasn't available on arrival, was asked if I'd rather go elsewhere (not arranged so would have had to connect to wifi and self-organise). Ended up in a room with a balcony for a night (boiling as couldn't get the air-conditioning to work and ended up fly food), moved to different room with no windows the following day, but staff were able to get the air-conditioning working. Breakfast is in the corridor so seems like it's outside your door. Traffic into central Baku can be awful - taxi driver tried to take his own large tip.

+ Location providing easy access to restaurants coffee shops and old town. Basic facilities but adequate and for the money excellent value

− On 3rd floor not serviced by lifts. Not a problem for us. Breakfast included was basic but plenty of establishments nearby. Bathroom could do with a makeover but 86Euro for 2 nights for 2 of us a week before the Grand Prix. Good Value

Please dont book they are scammers

+ They are scammers, Please dont book this property.

− They asked us that we have booked for 3 rooms which means 3 persons but we booked for 4 persons and booking.com gave us 3 rooms by itself. But they asked us to stay in a different building rooms which are economy rooms and they were not worth the price. To sum up all, they scammed us by giving us economy rooms instead of premium rooms which we booked as per photos

− BEWARE PEOPLE TRAVELLING WITH KIDS. THE HOTEL IS ON THIRD FLOOR AND THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. EVEN NO BELL BOY TO TAKE YOUR LUGGAGE UPSTAIRS.

+ Very nice location, near the old city. Excellent room with historical interior. Very tasty family breakfast. At all the hotel feels like a small family boutique hotel
