+ Location isn't bad, staff is friendly

− Firstly, I had to wait almost an hour before ...power went down. Probably it caused the staff to come in. I was taken to a dark room, and went sleeping. Shortly I was awaken by a terrific sound. The construction work in front of my thin door had begun. Being exhausted I was falling asleep but was awaking shortly time after time by the sound of a jigsaw. I started to work. After several hours of struggle I asked the staff how long it was going to continue. They ensured me it would take one more hour. Three hours had passed when asked again. They apologized and told the workers needed just half hour to wrap up completely. And they finished in... two hours. In my opinion it isn't acceptable to run a business this way. You have to do any construction work either when a hotel is empty or warn people BEFORE they decide to book. But that's my personal experience, and your may get a better one. What I was concerned about badly was safety. I didn't notice any smoke detector anywhere nor in my room (I doubt I was the only "lucky guy"), neither in the public premises. It was a basement or semi-basement where I had a room at. And there was JUST one way out in case of emergency. Neither there were another exits on the ground floor. If anything bad happens your chances to get off of the building in one piece are quite low. A door opening inwards, narrow corridors, tight rooms, low ceilings, cheap plastic wouldn't help you either. Not sure the local construction code is that tolerant, and doubt the business is even legitimate. Hence a question to Booking. Do you guys check papers of the dwellings before they get add in? Do you stay behind the owners of such the properties if anything bad happens? In my opinion you should avoid this and similar places. Oh, there were some small things you wouldn't ever get noticed after you read everything above. I feel every metal piece inside of the mattress, and only terrible exhaustion let me sleep some.

− Horrible experience. I am used to staying in poorly managed hostels at this point, but this one was uniquely unbearable. Upon arrival, I was told that the single room that I booked was not available, and that the only option was a king size room. I was told that this would be a 25% increase in cost, even though the price was already set and agreed upon on booking.com. When I threatened to go stay somewhere else, the price was reduced to only a 10% increase, which I unfortunately agreed to. The room was bad. The bed had a large stain on it. There are no windows for fresh air. The listing states the room has A/C, but you aren’t given control of the temperature. Throughout my stay, the air from the one small vent was blowing very slow, warm air. There was one small fan above the bed. My room was typically 5-7 degrees celsius hotter than the hallways, and I found myself sweating non-stop while in the room. There are some other reviews on here about the smell… The common areas of the hostel smelled AWFUL, like nothing I have ever experienced before. Every bathroom had a terrible smell that made it unbearable to use. The hallways and kitchen had a similar, potent smell. The showers spray water all over the toilets, so expect everything to be drenched. Again, I am typically not one to leave negative reviews about hostels, but this one is horrible. This hostel has no redeeming qualities. Be aware that you may be pressured into paying more than what the reservation states online. I would say “you get what you pay for” but this hostel wouldn’t be worth it if it was free. I stayed in other private-room hostels in Yerevan for a comparable price and they were all very pleasant and enjoyable. Avoid this one at all costs.

− the bed is super uncomfy, the room has not breathing space, no windows, the room actually was super hot to stay in, towels were dirty, dead insects on the sides of the bed, bed felt like sleeping on the floor, could feel the strings of the mattresses entering my body, toilets smelly, and the location is near the city but absolutely horrible to stay here

− There was no air conditioning, no window in the room. There was no toilet or bathroom, and they were all shared.
