Incredible location.

+ Excellent host, perfect location sandwiched between old town and the funicular. Great bakery and convenience store right nearby. This was a perfect location.

− Still a 10 out of 10 but minor issues were as follows: A/C is slow. Bathroom in the triple room stinks of moldy bathroom. We just kept the door closed. Can’t see anything out of our window. Breakfast room is small - cozy hotel style, not grand buffet style. Regardless, we will definitely be back. Loved this place.

Excellent Stay for Budget Travelers

+ We stayed at Midcity, at the start of trip, for 6 nights, and, at the end of the trip for 2 nights (total 8 nights). We enjoyed our stay very much. Its a nice clean small hotel at upper ground level with only 7 rooms, in a large multi-story building. So be prepared for a small property with quite a small board bearing hotel's name. The location is very good, the street is relatively quiet n calm, especially for the rooms on the backside. A number of tourist attractions, bus stop and metro station are at a walking distance. The staff is nice and friendly and speak English that is quite a facility in Azerbaijan. Especially, Mr Behram was very kind and helpful. The small room was nicely arranged and facilitated. We enjoyed our stay here a lot.

− The size of the room seemed quite small when we arrived. However, we got a bit used to it after a day or two. On our 2nd stay at the end of the trip we were given a slightly bigger room and we felt the pleasant difference. The bathroom was nice n clean but again quite small. However given the location and the cost, it was a very good trade-off. So as a whole I would strongly recommend this property. There are no street food kiosks or budget restaurants near the property except for a pizza shop called Pizza-Mizza. One has to walk 15 minutes or more to Fountain Square near Nizami street for budget meals.

Excellent

+ We had a wonderful stay at Mid City Hotel in Baku, Azerbaijan. The hotel was very clean, and its location was excellent. Most of the major sightseeing attractions were within walking distance, so we didn't need to use a taxi during our stay. If you're looking for a hassle-free stay with easy access to the city's main attractions, this hotel is an excellent choice. It offers great value for money, and the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, polite, and always ready to help. Highly recommended!

Perfect location.

+ Great value for money. The location of the hotel is perfect to reach the Old city walking. The hotel is in a quiet street, so even though our room was in the street floor it was very silent. The breakfast was good and the staff was very attentive.
