+ This is an excellent hotel located in the Old City, with everything close by. There is also a casino on-site. I really enjoyed my stay; the service was superb—I received everything I needed quickly. The rooms were clean, the hotel’s interior is beautiful, the breakfast was very good, and the spa was professional-grade—all at a great price. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Lari at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful. He even paid out of his own pocket for something I needed, just to ensure I had a great experience—he’s an amazing guy! I highly recommend this hotel and the hospitality here. Enjoy!

+ We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is great, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was quite good, and the sauna was very nice. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily come back!

Excellent location, lovely staff and a very comfortable stay

+ We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel London 1889. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Old Batumi, with Europe Square, Piazza Square, Batumi Boulevard, the beach, restaurants, and cafés all within easy walking distance. The two ladies at reception were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful, and the gentleman who assisted with our luggage was also very friendly and attentive. When we were not fully satisfied with the location of our first room, they immediately checked what other rooms were available and even allowed us to see another room before confirming the change. The new room turned out to be exactly what we wanted, and we really appreciated their flexibility and excellent service. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful and has a very elegant historic character. The hotel was also very clean and well maintained, and both the room and common areas felt comfortable and tidy throughout our stay. Overall, the service was excellent, the staff were professional and helpful, and the location could not be better for exploring Batumi on foot. We had a very positive experience and would gladly stay here again.

Nice Hotel well placed for exploring Batumi

+ Excellent breakfast. They found a great place for my bicycle, which may not have pleased everyone but was perfect for me. The night portier helped me with my luggage when I arrived at 6 in the morning after a tiriing journey with real kindness. Truly nice people, all I have met.

− There was a wide selection at breakfast, but the quality of the food was rather poor. If you try to eat healthily, it can be quite difficult to find suitable options from the available selection.

+ We checked out today after staying in two side-by-side rooms as a family of four. The location is excellent, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, there were a few issues that I think the hotel should address

− The breakfast room is quite small. If the hotel is fully booked, you may have to wait or go for tables on the pavement outside for a table, which obviously isn’t ideal if the weather is poor. Ans breakfast was ok. More importantly, despite communicating with the hotel in advance about our late arrival and making it clear that we were a family of four as per booking, each room had only one hand towel and one shower towel. This was a rather glaring oversight, as there were two people staying in each room. After an exhausting day and a late arrival, the last thing you want is to have to call reception to ask for a second set of towels. I was also surprised that the hotel doesn’t provide liquid hand wash. Instead, guests are given the old-fashioned small bar of soap. Providing liquid hand soap would be a very simple and inexpensive improvement that would make a noticeable difference. Finally, the air-conditioning is quite noisy, even when the fan is set to its lowest level. I noticed that other guests have mentioned the same issue in their reviews. I hope the hotel’s management will not simply acknowledge this problem but actually take steps to resolve it. Overall, the hotel has an excellent location and clean rooms, but a few relatively simple improvements would make the stay considerably more comfortable.
