+ The receptionist was incredibly helpful. Even though I arrived close to midnight, she gave me all the information I needed, including where to find a late-night bite. Best of all, after a great night's rest, I was able to just walk right over to the Sayran Bus Station.

− As a Chinese myself, I'm even ashamed of some of Chinese guests' behaviours. A suggestion is place another cigarette bin in front of the entrance.

Best value, good location, comfy clean place
+ The moment I arrived I felt welcomed and the staff was amazing. They were so friendly and accomodating, even though I messed up the dates and booked my bed for the day before. Karina is super friendly, helpful and after one month in China, our short conversation made me feel like home. I would have not moved to another hostel if the location would have been a bit more central. Anyway, the wifi was good, the commo areas nice and clean, bed super clean and comfy, bathrooms/shower clean. Spotless,.really. The cheap laundry for 500 is also a bonus. I haven't slept this good since forever. Quiet, clean, good location, 7-9min from main bus station. Small shops next to the place, recommend the cheese/fish speciality store next door. You van also get cheap sim card deals in front of the station on the opposite side of the road. 💪✌️

+ Friendliest hostel I could find in Almaty. Real mistake only having my last night here, I would have stayed here for my whole 9 days in Almaty. Beds seemed bigger than most hostels, with good curtains and very comfy. Really good shower and toilet facilities, hot water. Also free drinking water, and a well equipped kitchen to save money on meals. The main thing was the welcoming feeling of the place, the staff and the whole atmosphere. Fair price. Location was very near the bus station for onwards travel to bishkek, karakol etc. Saiyran Reservoir is a very nice place to spend an evening, right outside the hostel.

Receptionist Yasmine, the best!
+ I stayed here for two days, and it became a truly unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, I felt genuinely welcomed. Yasmine, the receptionist, is without a doubt the best I have ever met. Her kindness, warmth, and dedication made me feel at home. She always went the extra mile, not because she had to, but because she truly cares. As someone who runs a hostel in Japan, I was deeply inspired and learned so much just by observing her. Thank you, Yasmine, from the bottom of my heart. You made my stay special in a way I will never forget. The facilities and location were also excellent, which made everything even more comfortable. But more than anything, it was the people—especially Yasmine—that made this place stand out. If I ever return to Almaty, there is no question—I will stay here again.
