Fantastic
+ Spacious and very clean rooms. The host, Vladimir, is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is fabulous -- eggs, juice, coffee, bread, cheese, jam, yogurt, porridge, pastries, and fruit. The guest house is located on a quiet laneway just east of the city centre. I think it would be a 15 or 20 minute walk to the city centre but we are old people so we used Yandex Go. In summary, everything was fantastic.

+ This was our second stay here. We really liked the host Vladimir, the spacious clean rooms with hardwood floors, the very large breakfast, and the convenient location. In summary, highly recommended.

Excellent host in a quiet part of town.
+ Everything. Hosts Alexander and Vladimir was friendly, and responsive. Despite the language barrier, they were friendly and accomodating, and we shared our interests in music.

Exceptional
+ We stayed for a week in the large suite, which had a large bedroom, a large lounge with extra bed, and a balcony and bathroom. Hospitality was next level and breakfast was flexible and freshly prepared each morning. This is a place for those who want personal, comfortable and friendly hospitality rather than a bland.generic hotel.

Lovely. Extremely worth the price compared to other properties in almaty.
+ Vladimir is an extremely friendly host despite the language barrier. The rooms are extremely big given the price and beds are comfortable.
− Room may feel a bit dated, but don't come expecting a 5 star hotel stay because that's not what it is.

+ Centrally located. Excellent host who was always there to help. He even dropped us at airport in the wee hours of the morning. Excellent facilities. Good value for money.
