Short stay in Baku with Flora Hostal was amazing

+ Its my first experience with hostel, it was amazing and changed my thoughts about hostel life. Very friendly Staff specially Canon. Every day musical night in lounge with another world. Staff and people sitting together in free time, discussing different points. I highly recommended this hostel.

− I believe room should be equipped with big Air-conditioned.

+ The hostel has a good location, it has live music at night in the cafeteria, the stuff was really nice and helpful, offered me tea while waiting, the room is normal a bit uncomfortable mattress. The kitchen is small and the bathroom /shower are small. I think it is normal for the price you pay.

+ Extremely nice hostel, in an old European style building. Location is pretty nice, close to parks, eating spots/ cafes, 24H supermarket, etc. Most importantly late check in is possible, without additional cost. There are facilities like AC, washing machine, kitchen, cool cafe with live music, etc. They also provide free tea!

Fine place to stay for a few nights in Baku

+ It’s a fine place to stay for a couple of nights. Well located within walking distance of the main sites. There’s a great cafe with live music that ends at a reasonable time to sleep. Free tea and coffee.

− The bathrooms were small and seemed like they weren’t cleaned regularly. It was difficult to find staff members if needed and the language barrier was complicated.

+ I stayed at this hostel l for five days, and overall my experience was pleasant. The place is clean, and the staff are very kind, cooperative, and professional. The Wi-Fi facility is available and works reasonably well. Additionally, the kitchen facilities are a great convenience, making the stay more comfortable. Overall, it is a good and comfortable place to stay, and with a small improvement, it could become even better

− I would like to make a small suggestion: improving the quality of the mattresses could enhance guests’ comfort and help ensure a more restful sleep.

Cosy little hostel with cool daily musical concerts

+ Very comfortable hostel conveniently located in the city centre. The staff kindly stayed up late to accommodate me for check in due to a very late flight. Every evening this hostel also hosts musical concert for local musicians to attend which is free for the hostel guests to attend. And is a very clean and comfortable hostel overall

Pleasant

+ Was received well and owner/staff are hospitable. The dorm was big/spacious and somehow its epic with the music venue thrown in for an authentic grassroots experience.

− A good clean of the bathrooms and kitchen would make a big difference. Then again it's a real cheapie and I had a pleasant stay.

Great location and amazing staff — but the shared shower/toilet setup was not very practical

+ The location was excellent. I was able to walk to many central places easily. The live music events in the evenings, which were free to join, were also really enjoyable. All the staff were very kind and helpful. In particular, the staff were truly amazing. Hakim at the café was always smiling and very welcoming, and in the hostel area, Kenan went above and beyond to help with everything. He was extremely polite and did his best at all times. Truly great staff overall!

− In terms of facilities, unfortunately the shower and toilet were in the same space (there was no separate enclosed shower area even though it was inside the toilet). Additionally, the toilet and kitchen were located in the same area, and there were only two toilets available. Because of this, I often had to wait in line, and since there was no enclosed shower, everything in the toilet area was usually wet when someone had just showered.

Pleasant enough atmosphere

+ Spacious rooms, two bathrooms toilet and shower in one, so the floor was always wet. Concerts every night, local musicians. Good selection of loose teas. Supermarkets, eateries around. 5 minutes to old town, Waterfront, pedestrian street

− mattresses were uncomfortable, some you can actually feel the springs. Windows don't close properly, so some beds catch a draught
