I have stayed at "The Edge" three times before with different, wonderful hosts, but this specific host is dangerous, hostile, and running a financial scam.I never even stayed here because I had to flee for my safety before check-in. Here is exactly what happened:Undisclosed Cash Extortion: After paying in full on Booking.com, the host suddenly sent her staff to demand an extra 1,000 Baht cash deposit. This hidden fee was completely left off the Booking.com listing and was never agreed upon.Hostile & Aggressive Verbal Abuse: When I questioned this unauthorized fee, the host called me on Line and completely lost control. She was screaming, yelling, and verbally assaulting me over the phone. I have the entire phone call fully recorded as legal proof of her unhinged and scary behavior. Severe Safety Concerns: Her explosive rage caused me immense emotional distress. I felt completely unsafe going to her room. I knew that if I stepped foot in her apartment, a host this unstable would easily try to frame me, accuse me of fake damages, or threaten my safety. I had to instantly book a completely different hotel out of fear. Continuous Lies & Harassment: Now, she has the absolute audacity to keep my money, refuse a refund, and message me calling me a liar. Her entire defense is fraud. Note to Booking.com Compliance: Look at her past history! Other reviews show, an inability to handle feedback, and explosive anger. This host is violating platform terms by demanding off-platform cash and threatening guests.I am submitting my audio recordings and chat logs to Booking.com Legal and the Thailand Tourist Police. Save yourself the trauma and the scam, book with anyone else at The Edge except her.

+ The complex was very beautiful, the rooftop garden and swimming pool was amazing. If only the developers had installed double glazed windows to help reduce the excessive noise from the bars along Soi Diana.
− In the apartment there was little to none explanatory information on how to use the facilities such as the induction cooktop, the shower rose was missing, extremely minimal cooking equipment (had to purchase extra equipment from the supermarket) the A/C filters were completely blocked and required cleaning, not even a single role of toilet tissue, no complementary tea or coffee, not even a bottle of water.
