Delightful staff. I would definitely recommend Casa Galata, if the steep street does bother you.
+ The unit was well appointed and charming. We found it comfortable. The staff were AMAZING. Very friendly and helpful. They allowed a late checkout and assisted with our taxi.
− The street the unit is on is very, very steep. While it may be fine for many, if you are not fit you will find it very taxing.

Brilliant stay and a highlight of our travels!
+ Fantastic space, location & million dollar view of the vibrant Bosphorus in a funky local neighbourhood where you felt very safe and like a local. Omer was the nicest and most helpful man throughout our stay, so helpful and nothing was s as problem. You are in such a sweet spot to Galata port, Galata Tower, Taksim & Istiklal Street you can walk everywhere, even down and across the bridge to the ferries and Sultanhamnet - We didn’t take any public transport or taxis!
− We enjoyed it all, although some may struggle with the steepness but all good for us.

Excellent hotel in a great location.
+ Lovely hotel on a great street, in a very interesting and convenient location. I’d a very spacious room, which was really well equipped and in perfect condition. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

+ This is a fantastic hotel! The property is nice, clean, and modern, and the location couldn't be better. What truly made our stay special was the staff—everyone was super nice, attentive, and helpful with local recommendations for exploring the city. Plus, they kindly stored our luggage for free for 10 days while we traveled around, which was a huge help. I highly recommend staying here!

Lovely comfortable stay in a great location.
+ Clean, spacious room with a lovely balcony (partial sea view). Location was great!
− There is a gap under the door which lets in the bright corridor light at night, which was a little inconvenient for us.

Great but needs soundproofing
+ Best location, you got to do a little uphill walk but that's manageable. The rooms are neat and clean and smells so good. The rooms are also very well equipped with everything one needs, a washer, a small stove with some pots and dishes, free drinking water, iron etc. If you are not too sensitive to light and noise, its a very nice place to stay.
− There is absolutely zero soundproofing. I couldn't sleep the whole 3 nights I stayed there. I was given room 2 on first floor facing the street. Since the hotel is situated on a slope, at night it feels like you are sleeping on the street. You could hear every single sound, people walking, cats fighting, garbage trusts, bikes, shopkeepers chitchating. The room had light colour blinds, zero blackout. The streetlight feels as if lit inside your rooms.
