Great Location and Good Service
+ Location is the definitely the plus side for this hotel walking distance to Emsphere Mall and the BTS/ MRT Stations. Overall the facilities and breakfast buffet line is adequate.

Comfortable stay with warm, friendly service.
+ We had a pleasant stay at Carlton Hotel. It was a nice surprise to be upgraded to a bigger room without even asking, and we really appreciated it as the extra space made things much more comfortable for the three of us. Breakfast was good overall, though the spread was quite similar over the three days. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, from the reservation counter to the concierge and the door staff. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and especially appreciated the thoughtful room upgrade and warm service.
− The only slight disappointment was the pool. The sun only seemed to reach the pool area around noon, so if you enjoy spending time by the pool in the morning, it may not be the best setting.

Amazing, glad to be returning in a few days!
+ The Location was great, in the center of Bangkok, within a walking distance from both MRT and BTS stations, and shopping malls and many stores. The rooms are great, cleaned well, with a high quality feeling. I'm glad that we also booked this hotel for when we return to Bangkok in a few days, as it was amazing.

A modern, comfortable hotel in a fantastic Sukhumvit location
+ The Carlton is a modern, well-presented hotel in an excellent location. The rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable, and the hotel was a great base for exploring Bangkok. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés and shopping centres within walking distance, with both the BTS and MRT nearby. The pool is large and has four very comfortable cabanas. The poolside bar was excellent, with friendly staff and plenty of food and drink choices. The pool facilities were also impressive, with bathrooms, showers, lockers and a steam room. The rooftop bar was another highlight, with great views, a really nice atmosphere and delicious cocktails. Overall, the service throughout the hotel was friendly and professional, and we really enjoyed the location and facilities.
− There were only a few things that could be improved. Apart from the four cabanas, the pool seating consists of reclining loungers without cushions. They become quite uncomfortable after sitting on them for an hour or so, and cushions would make a big difference. I also noticed significant warping in the pool decking. Having worked in construction for many years, it appears the decking has been poorly installed and will probably require replacement at some point. It doesn't significantly affect the stay, but it is noticeable and surprising for a hotel of this standard. We also tried the Chinese restaurant. The food was decent, but we found it quite expensive compared with the many excellent dining options available within a short walk of the hotel. For the price, we would probably choose to eat elsewhere next time.
