Disappointing

+ Good location

− The hotel does not have correct name on signing which made it hard to find at first. When we arrived at the hotel, receptionist told us we couldn’t pay by card and had to pay in cash. This should have been communicated beforehand. Receptionist also told us the free breakfast with booking.com was only for one morning and also then made us cancel our booking.com booking and rebook directly with them. In the room on arrival, the shower door was not attached and just standing in shower. The glass shower door was heavy but we needed to move it to be able to shower. We got it back on the roller and was not a hard task once we both lifted the door but this is something I would expect hotel maintenance to do. There was a lack of soundproofing in the room and we could hear everyone entering their room as the keypads were very loud. This made us have very poor sleeps during our stay and was often after midnight before we could sleep. The blind was not black out and there is a gap in room door where light from hallway comes through. The bottom sheet did not cover the whole bed and so whenever we moved the sheet would bunch up and we would be on the the mattress with no protector. We were also only given one single duvet cover for a double bed for two people. This duvet cover also had holes in it.

The hotel is situated at the heart of Baku, so you basically are in the city centre. We stayed in a big room with Kitche

+ Tidy, quiet, nice staff, best location.

Compact solo stay

+ This is located on the most famous Nizami street, I barely took a cab because everything is walking distance, only you have to climb up 6 floors. Decent property with compact rooms, mine was perfect for a solo traveler. All rooms have a ceiling window with white curtain that enables enough sunlight when withdrawn. Washrooms were clean, had basic amenities with standing shower. The breakfast was included in my reservation which was served in the building right across the street. It was a buffet, a decent spread. All staff members are very helpful, kind and accommodating. A stay here is definitely worth it.

− Slightly inside the street, you need to climb up 6 floors.

Bad experience

+ Reception Staff was good.

− Hundred stairs to get to the room and room was not clean. No lift and not tidy at all. No comfort.

Value for money 3/5

+ The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent, right in the center of Nizami Street, which makes it very convenient for visiting the city and going out.

− The hotel is located on the 5th floor, and there is no elevator. You have to use a narrow and rather dangerous staircase, passing through what feels like the terraces/corridors of other buildings. The entrance to the hotel is also very difficult to find, as it is hidden behind another building. There was no bottle of water , and the towels were changed only on the first day. The room was not properly cleaned during my stay, except for one general cleaning. The hotel itself is very small and is basically located within the terraces of a building on Nizami Street, so it doesn't really feel like a traditional hotel.

Bad

− The hotel was overbooked, so we didn’t get a room even though we had a reservation. We ended up standing outside with nowhere to go. Really disappointing experience.

Can recommend but keep in mind it’s 5th floor

+ Really convenient location and the place feels like a studio rather than a hotel

− It’s located on the fifth floor and there is no elevator so do consider that while booking. The staff helps with the bags though (special thanks to Ali for being to kind to all our requests ❤️)

Excellent

+ The position was directly at the walking zone, xlose to the market and most of attractions. Staff was supportive and willingness. Facilities quite comfortable but it was the attic, so you had to be attentive not to hit your head at the roof.

− It was on 5th floore without a lift. you should have contemplate to return to the room if you had forgotten something 😀

Great location, good value but be aware of the steps and paying in cash

+ Great location! Room was spacious and it had a washing machine, refrigerator, sink, and kitchen facilities (although there were no pots, pans, or dishes)

− FIVE flights of stairs wears on you after a long day of sightseeing, be aware! Also the website says you can pay by card, they wanted me to pay by cash, but somehow on the last day I was able to pay by card. If you want cash then explicitly say that on your website.
