Terrible choice, not worth the price

+ Location is decent, but not amazing.

− Not nearly cheap enough for how low quality it was. Entrance is under construction, no one was ever present at the reception, we were pressured into paying cash since the owner didn't feel like working at the reception, the front door was constantly left unlocked and open, the bathrooms were constantly unclean and smelt awful throughout my stay. Showers are not seperated and are just a shower head in the wall next to the toilet. It was also cold throughout the night and the blankets were quite thin. Like if it was 25% cheaper I would let this stuff slide, but it was bad for Yerevan hostel standards, which is saying something. 90% of the info on the listing is a complete lie.

Location is good, but place needs maintanace

+ The location is convenient. There is a shawarma place right nearby that is open until 4 a.m., and it is also possible to get coffee there in the morning. The person who welcomed us was friendly and helpful and, importantly, was able to check us in very late at night.

− Unfortunately, the place was much worse than it looks in the Booking photos and description. The biggest problem was the misleading use of the term “air conditioning” in the room description. In reality, there was only a fan. The fan was not enough to cool the room, so it was impossible to sleep at night and we had to leave early. The en-suite bathroom had a very strong mold smell because there was not enough ventilation. We could not keep the bathroom door open because of the smell, so we could not really use it. Fortunately, there were communal showers in the corridor, which were in slightly better condition and had been renovated, but they also had poor ventilation and a mold smell. There were no towels at first, but they gave us some when we asked. Toiletries were not provided, but they were also not listed in the description. The kitchen was also missing basic things, even for simple tasks like boiling water for tea. Some of the available equipment was broken. My suggestion to the owner would be to add some simple decorations to make the place feel more cosy and to put up signs asking guests to clean up after themselves. Some guests had left quite a mess, which made the place feel even less pleasant. Overall, the main problem was that the place looks much better in the photos and description than it actually is, the lack of conditioner and the mold smell makes it impossible to rest.

− its a container house, so the walls are tiny and it can get really hot inside, dirty rooms, and kitchen

+ The place is nice, clean, and comfortable. The admin/owner is very helpful, kind, and easy to communicate with. He was very accommodating and even allowed us to check out late, which we truly appreciated. Overall, we had a pleasant and hassle-free stay, and we are grateful for the hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and welcoming stay.
