garden suites alpasa

+ lovely place and people, I stayed in garden suites room 450, food is excellent too, and I loved being out the back in a private garden, the room was big and well presented, the shower was excellent, cleaning staff were excellent, a nice place to stay if you want a little privacy away from the pool

− we had to stay in a hotel room for the 1st night as the garden suites was not ready, then it was not twin beds as booked was a sofa bed and double but we were ok with this, another woman at reception complaining she had not been given the de lux room she booked, and another male I spoke to booked a room for the bath and only had a shower. the very sad thing for me is I would love to go back there but unfortunately I was being bitten s lot, which I put down to mosquito or fleas from all the wild cats, unfortunately when I returned home and was stil getting bitten I realised I had brought bed bugs back with me, this is confirmed by the exterminator, thankfully I have realised this within 2 days of my return and have a big problem to deal with but glad I realised before its a huge problem this is such a shame as housekeeping do a great job, but just changing sheets ect will not eradicate this problem, don't know if its just room 450

Overall worth it

+ Great location in the old town, main building is beautiful and the pool.area even though its not huge is lovely. Our room.was a.good size and clean. Would definitely stay.again.

− Staff were mainly good with most requests but from day 1 we asked for an extra blanket in the room, took 5 days of asking to eventually get one. Breakfast was ok, bit hit and miss depending on the day. No iron in the room.

Excellent staff and management provided us with a great stay. Breakfast buffet was outstanding and varied.

+ Perfectly located in the Old Town area with access to sites.

− Recently under new management and some of the replies to questions online did not match current conditions. For example not all rooms are suite and not all rooms are on ground floor or accessible by elevator. This caused an initial problem but was addressed by staff and management with an outstanding alternative.
